LaNise Rosemond holds a Doctorate degree in Educational Administration from Tennessee State University. She holds a Master degree in Education with a concentration in Sport Management from Florida A & M University, and a BS in Physical Education from Norfolk State University. Dr. LaNise Rosemond is Assistant Professor in the Department of Exercise Science at Tennessee Tech University. She also serves as coordinator for two faculty leadership development programs at Tennessee Tech University. Prior to joining Tech, Rosemond has been a head and assistant basketball coach at division I and II institutions, athletic compliance coordinator, associate athletic director, and High School and Middle School Health and Physical Education Teacher and coach. Rosemond is the President-Elect for the Tennessee Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance for the State of Tennessee and member of the North American Society of Sport Management (NASSM), National Coaching Association, and the National Speakers Association (NSA). She is on the board of Fire and Hammer Training Center, in Tallahassee, Florida and the Tennessee Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Rosemond is active in the City of Cookeville with serving on one of the City’s Citizens Sheriffs counsel committees. Rosemond has a TV web based show called “Fresh Direction” on the campus of Tech. The program helps students in decision making and goal setting, preparation for graduate school programs, and making healthy relationships. Furthermore, Rosemond has a leadership program for undergraduate coaching and sport management students called, “SMILE.” Smile stands for Sport Management Institute for Leadership Excellence. This training is designed to assist and mentor future sports managers in becoming top leaders in their organizations. Rosemond travels around the country giving motivational speeches to students, coaches, women and people from all walks of life. She has given well over one hundred plus speeches and has been a guest host on several radio stations. All of Rosemond’s publications are centered on helping coaches develop and make wiser decisions in their profession. In Dr. Rosemond’s spare time she enjoys traveling, shopping and speaking at professional and Christian venues. One of her purposes in life is to motivate and encourage, coaches, youth and adults in pursuing their dreams.
